Our Team
Our Team
The team at Sky Visor is extensive, and includes scientists, designers, product development specialists, marketing and business development,
procurement and production. At the head of the team is the Board of Directors, which is currently comprised of four individuals,
all with a proven track record in their chosen field.
A brief synopsis of the key players is included below:
Paul Gannon (Managing Director)
Paul has been involved with the company since its inception, and he is the original
innovator of the Skyvisor product.
Starting his career with the accountants KPMG Paul moved to one of GKN’s manufacturing division
at Heath Street in Birmingham. Progressing to the Financial Accountants position, he controlled the TV advertising budget and then
consolidated the manufacturing and sales accounting units of the company.
The next move was to the corporate centre where he accounted
for the Holding companies of the Group. During that time the centre acquired GKN Defence and GKN Aerospace the main products being
the world famous Warrior fighting vehicle and the Apache fighting helicopter. The turnover of the group was 7.1 billion at the end
of 2013 where Paul was an integral part of the corporate team.
Further to taking early retirement from GKN Paul now joins the Skyvisor
team to spearhead the growth of the company, and to assist in the marketing of further innovated related products.
Alan Young, FCCA (Commercial Director)
Alan joined the company in early 2013, and is now, largely, responsible for the commercial
and financial development of the business as a whole.
A qualified accountant, by profession, Alan has two other businesses; Praxis
Accountancy Limited and Blue Sky Recreation Limited, and has been involved in the accountancy profession for some 30 years, advising
businesses, both large and small, and assisting them in their own ongoing business development.
Alan also has extensive commerical
experience, having worked at both a local and national level at household name companies, such as Fyffes and Dairy Crest, and has
always had a particular bias towards high technology companies and products. He has also been involved with the innovative aircraft
design company; Sky Lifter.
Mandy Woodcock (Business Development Director)
Mandy joined the company early in 2014, having obtained extensive experience
in the field of business development, particularly in respect of a her role in bringing an innovative new bulding product to the marketplace.
She has also worked extensively with the Government agency; WRAP, in her capacity as an independent project management consultant.
Mandy's
time is split between the UK and our Spanish office, and her principal role is to market and promote the Sky Visor brand and products
to a global market place.
Tom Ludwig (Technical Director)
The most recently appointed Main Board Director, Tom joined the company in July
2014. His product and technical knowledge is unsurpassed in this industry, having spent many years with Solar Gard Saint-Gobain, and
being trained by them in all aspects of the Solar Gard product, its properties and applications.
Tom is responsible for the product
development, as a whole, and has overall control of the Solar Gard side of the business, including design, installation and project
management.
